On September 19, 2009, thousands of surfers and ocean enthusiasts will plant their surfboards in the sand for an historic photo opportunity to be photographed by Transworld SURF Magazine.
Rip Curl's Surfboards in the Sand offers a unique opportunity for you or your organization to honor surfing culture and to support the preservation of the Southern California coastal environment. A portion of event proceeds benefits Orange County Coastkeeper and the Surfrider Foundation.

Check-In at the HB Pier. Registration on the north side of the HB Pier. Pick up your wristband, event t-shirt, and list of participant discounts available on Main Street. Onsite registration is $20 per person. |

Stake your claim! Head down to the beach to Plant Your Board in the Sand and pick your spot for the photo. If you registered as part of a group, head down to your group's assigned area, which you will receive at registration. |
